History
W. C. Hand first published “Saint Louis Blues” in September 1914. The first audio recording was on December 18, 1915, in New York City, played by Prince’s Band under the supervision of G. Hepburn Wilson.
Other artists who have recorded it: Louis Armstrong, Bing Crosby, Bessie Smith, Count Basie, Glenn Miller, Guy Lombardo, and the Boston Pops Orchestra.
